Lustrous blue Scorodite crystals in vugs from Mapimi. The crystals are extremely bright and sparkly reaching 3mm in size. Scorodite crystals are present in multiple vugs on the front and back sides. Scorodite is a high level mineral species. In Wayne Thompson's book 'Ikons', Thompson categorizes mineral species into 7 castes based on their hierarchy of status and value. Scorodite is listed as being in the first (highest) caste. Scorodite is rare as a fine mineral specimen, take the opportunity to get a nice one at auction. Valued at $300. |
